Tommie Seeking Mental Health Help After Child Abuse Arrests

Former “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” actress Tommie Lee has her legal team working overtime to find her some mental health treatment.

According to a TMZ report, the star wants to enroll herself in treatment in the midst of her legal struggles. Reportedly, Tommie’s attorney is petitioning the court in her child abuse case to allow Tommie to get treatment for a serious mental illness. She says she was diagnosed before or around the same time as she was charged with child abuse, and her condition is a “significant” part of her case.

Tommie says she’s willing to stay sober, submit to random drug testing and attending self-help meetings to meet the requirements on the program. But it’s not all up to her. Applications are considered by a committee, which includes a prosecutor, and it will take about 30 days to decide Tommie’s fate.

Seems like Tommie is fulfilling her promise to seek help. After showing up to court last month intoxicated, the star was jailed and promised fans she’s clean up her act. Tommie has not yet specified what kind of mental health issue she’s been dealing with.
