Keffa (aka Aaron Alem), is a rapper, singer, songwriter and producer from Toronto, Canada. In the winter of 2017, Keffa released his single ‘Not So Famous’ which showcased his trap-soul inspired body of work. Since then Keffa has embodied Toronto’s sensual and melancholy style dropping bangers such as “Anything”, upbeat R&B/Trap singles like “Loner,” and most recently “Disconnect”. Still tuning his personal style, “Disconnect” tells a story about a young lover in an awkward situation and a friend giving the advice to just disconnect for a minute.
24 year-old Keffa tells us he would like to collaborate with fellow Toronto artists, as his city is still gunning to take over the music & entertainment scene. Artists he looks forward to working with include Jessie Reyez, Saya, and Tory Lanez, and R&B/Pop superstar The Weeknd, as they’re cousins! Keffa described that experience as chill, and something he was able to get pointers and learn a lot from.
Be on the lookout for his forthcoming EP Liyu, due out July 19th! You can follow him on Instagram @hughkeffner. Check out the “Disconnect” here and let us know what ya think!
