Ciara Shows Off Her Real Hair

Ciara’s known for her (excellently laid) weaves and wigs but over the weekend she decided to share her real tresses with fans.

Mama CiCi posted a video on Instagram of her naturally healthy hair that grew back after she like many other black women, had a relaxer as a child.

“The first time I got a relaxer when I was young, it took out my hair,” wrote Ciara. “I was devastated. I never thought my hair would grow back. So proud.”

The songstress joins the likes of Sanaa Lathan, Rasheeda and Tyra Banks who’ve been letting their natural hair breathe.

Cici’s all about being au naturel these days, the Beauty Marks Entertainment founder is not only all about making strides for women in film, fashion, tech, and philanthropy, she’s also all about celebrating inner beauty.

“No makeup. No extensions. Vulnerable. My Beauty Marks and all. The real me.. and I love it. Finally embracing myself fully! It feels good,” she captioned a recent photo.

She also encouraged fans to upload their Beauty Marks selfies which are raw, unfiltered, all-natural photos.
