T.I., Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris, and Monica, along with Grammy Award®-nominee Luke James also took part in the taping, which was co-hosted by Anthony Anderson and La La Anthony for the second time. VH1 announced via press release that T.I. was set to honor the powerful women in his life including his mom, Violetta Morgan, his late sister, Precious Harris, along with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris and her mom, Dianne Cottle-Pope. Monica was performing at the event in honor of her mom, Marilyn P. Best. Other great performances include Luke James, who was set to perform in celebration of all of the mothers in the room, while R&B legends Shai and SWV joined MTV PUSH Global Artist H.E.R. onstage for a memorable collaboration. Ashanti and H.E.R. performed and paid tribute to their mothers who have shaped their success, and Ciara, on behalf of #SeeHer, honored deserving moms for the strides they’ve made in support of the group’s mission of increasing accurate representation of women and girls in advertising and media.
