Ayesha Curry Admits To Insecurities On “Red Table Talk”, Gets Backlash

Ayesha Curry’s DEFINITELY seen all the online chatter about her “Red Table Talk” comments—and the wife, mom, and author is unbothered.

In case you’ve been in a bubble, below is a recap.
Ayesha appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris’ “Red Table Talk” with Steph’s mom Sonya Curry, Steph’s little sister Sydel Curry and her future sister-in-law Callie Rivers.

While there, Ayesha spoke candidly and at one point admitted that she sometimes feels insecure.
Why? Because she’s seen her hubby being flooded with attention but she doesn’t see that attention coming her way.

“Something that really bothers me, and honestly has given me a sense of a little bit of an insecurity, is the fact that yeah, there are all these women, like, throwing themselves (at him), but me, like the past 10 years, I don’t have any of that,” she said. “I have zero – this sounds weird – but, like, male attention, and so then I begin to internalize it, and I’m like, ‘Is something wrong with me?'”
“I don’t want it,” she added, “but it’d be nice to know that, like, someone’s looking.”

Jada then jumped in to reassure her and told her she at one point felt that exact same way—but she reminded Ayesha that her hubby for sure knows men lust after his wife.

“You’re beautiful,”said Jada. “Don’t ever think for one minute that it ain’t no some men out there looking at you like, ‘I wish.’ And I’mma tell you who knows that more than anybody: Your husband.”

That quick clip has since gone viral on social media and people who LOVE to troll Ayesha jumped in with comments about her “begging for attention” from men.

Mind you, it sounds pretty common for a married mother of three to wonder if she’s “still got it”—-but we digress.

Ayesha wrote a classy clap back under an IG photo. In it, she’s seen throwing out a pair of Spanx because they “do not bring joy.” She also included a part in the caption about being “vulnerable” and “speaking your truth.”

“This is me throwing a pair of spanx in a Marie Kondo-Esque bin. “Does it spark joy?” I have never been one to cage my feelings and emotions to any capacity. I am human. It brings me pure joy to speak my mind, be vulnerable at times and to know myself inside and out. Seeing as how it’s mental health awareness month I really want to take the time to encourage everyone to speak their truth regardless of perception, fitting into a mold or offending someone, because it’s YOUR truth. And that’s okay! If what I’m not afraid to say out loud about being a 30yr mama of 3 helps another woman like me feel like they’re not the alone and not the only one with an insecurity (because we ALL have them, don’t play) then that makes all of this hoopla worth it. The ladies of “The Real” recently discussed Ayesha’s comments and Tamera defended her.

“I feel like we live in some really interesting times,” said Tamera. “I feel like people hear what they want to hear based on their perception of who they think you are.“Listen to what [Ayesha] really was saying. What I got out of it was [that] she’s like, ‘Okay if you want to meet my husband and I am present, don’t jump over me to say hello. Respect my personal space, I’m here too. I’m his wife, we are a unit.’”

In the midst of all the shade, Ayesha presented awards at the Beard Foundation Awards in Chicago.
