Mel B Can See Now After Going Blind From Herpes Infection

Mel B’s future was…unclear when she rushed to the hospital after going completely blind in her right eye and extreme pain in her left eye according to The Sun.

Sources at London’s Moorfields Eye Hospital said she arrived wearing an eye-patch and said: “I can’t see anything — I am totally blind.”

They added: “She was clearly in a lot of pain.”

Although The Sun reports that the blindness is a result of a “botched laser surgery”, a “source” told PEOPLE magazine that there is a far more disturbing reason for Mel’s lack of sight…

“She’s doing fine now, she’s not blind,” a source tells PEOPLE. “This has happened before. She has herpes in her eye, so this can happen.”

“She told the doctor she was blind because she couldn’t see but her eye is OK,” the source says. “They gave her some drops and she’s good now. It was nothing major.”

Herpes?!?! that doesn’t exactly sound like no big deal.

Well, let Mel tell it, it was a VERY big deal.

Take care out there, Mel. Herpes in the eye sounds painful as hell amongst other things.
