Did Future Sample Ciara’s “Promise” On “Shotgun”?

The FutureHive has assembled. Future dropped a new EP overnight called “Save Me” and while the internet was expecting more codeine-laced turn up, he instead gave us a bunch of songs that alternate between sad cries for help and that good old toxic misogyny we’ve grown to know and love from him.

However, one song, in particular, has caught everyone’s attention. It’s a song called “Shotgun” which sounds eerily similar to the beat from Ciara’s “Promise.”

Of course, Future would have to get the sample cleared which would be tricky but not outside the realm of possibility. Still, if this happened or even if he got the producers to intentionally reinterpret the beat, this is one of the all-time petty moments of his career. Beyond that, his album is full of sad songs about breakups that confused, astound and bring out the tears from his loyal followers.
