Although they’re close to a deal, they still don’t agree on issues like using a co-parenting app if communication breaks down, how much notice Griffin has to provide Liddicoat when he plans to take the child and whether one parent can take the child if the other is unable to.

Griffin also said he never agreed to Liddicoat’s contention that their old custody deal had become “unworkable” and that this new one was in the child’s best interest – a provision she included in her proposed plan.

A judge is set to rule on the custody plan later this week.

We’ve reached out to the lawyers for both Liddicoat and Griffin for comment.

Griffin and Liddicoat were married for three years before the player filed for divorce in Sept. 2016, citing that his marriage was irretrievably broken and there was no chance for reconciliation.

Griffin has since married athlete Grete Sadieko and has a baby daughter with her. Liddicoat has largely withdrawn from public life.
