15 Black-Owned Skin Care Brands To Know Besides Fenty Skin

With the all hype behind the celebrity centered brand, we’re reminded that togetherness is a beautiful thing. We’re sure Fenty’s July 31st launch will make history.

While we wait for Fenty, there are dozens of Black-owned skincare brands to support right NOW that were born in kitchens and basements around the country of dedicated Black people so we’d like to shine a light on them.

We gathered a list of Black-owned brands, big and small, buzzing right now, like Rosen. Rosen Skincare was founded by a college-age young woman, Jamika Martin, and can now be found nationwide in Urban Outfitters stores and online.

What’s cool about Rosen’s skincare line is they offer carved out skincare routines based on the needs of the customer. Hit the flip for even more Black-owned skincare businesses to spend with forever.

Black-owned The Gnarly Beauty specializes in skincare and beauty tools like their Pink Skincicles, ice globe massagers used to supercharge beauty serums, masks, and moisturizers.

Black Girl Sunscreen reminds us why it’s important for Black people to wear sunscreen and they’re available at your nearest Target.

Hyper Skin is a “hyper-focused skincare” specializing in products intended for people with hyperpigmentation and needing an extra glow.

According to Nola Skinsentials owner, Jane, the brand “was created when I noticed my own skin issues not being catered to. Being an African American woman, I realized how challenging it was to find a brand that created all plant-based products for skin with melanin.”

Oui The People’s products are for the rest of the body, offerings having tools and nourishing products for your skin like “body gloss.”

You may or may not have heard of Moon Cosmetics recently. The independent shop made headlines for making a million dollars in minutes. All of their stuff is homemade and hand mixed.

Skin BUTTR is a natural beauty line offering skin butters, skincare, and scrubs for all skin types.

Pholk Beauty is vegan, natural, affordable skincare made in New Jersey.
