According to the panelist, each person has a role to play when it comes to making change.

“Activism is just a word,” said the criminal justice reform activist. “Being an activist is a title somebody gave me. I was a Hip-Hop artist my whole life and I woke up after George Floyd and I went to a rally and I decided that this is what I wanted my life’s work to be. It’s each individual’s job to find his or her entry point into this,” he added. ‘We don’t have to take the exact same path, we just all have the same exact goal.”

Before the event’s closing, R&B superstar Mario wowed the crowd by performing his hits including “Let Me Love You” and “How Do I Breathe.”

“We here celebrating change, celebrating life, we here celebrating controlling our narrative and our future,” said Mario while fans excitedly engaged in the audience.
