NBC Cuts Law & Order: L.A. and The Event From Programming
Poor Thang: Terrence Howard Is Out Of A Job Again… And He’s Not The Only Black Actor
Awww! He just cannot keep the baby wipes funding coming in.
NBC has finally decided to ax that miserable excuse for a Law & Order spin-off, “Law & Order: L.A.”
We’re sure you never saw that coming.
The show’s creators and writers tried to keep it alive: killing off Skeet Ulrich and turning his character’s death into an event, as the first Law & Order cop to die in the line of duty. They tried getting rid of the characters who weren’t relatable, which unfortunately put Regina Hall out of a job too. They even thought making us look at the King Of Wet Wipes as D.A. Jonah Dekker every week would bring viewers in. But none of that worked.
Sadly, the same ax-wielding execs also got rid of Blair Underwood’s show “The Event.”
The show, which wasn’t already doing that great to begin with, was put on a three month hiatus at the end of last year. When it came back in March, it was totally lost in the shuffle, not even regaining the low viewership numbers it had last fall.
It’s not all bad news for Blair and his Event crew: the show’s producers are rumored to be working on bringing it back to life on a different network.
