T.I. continued his welcome home tour of Atlanta yesterday afternoon with the one event that didn’t have us a little concerned.
He and his Akoo staff and partners hosted the first annual A King Of Oneself Brunch in Atlanta’s swanky Buckhead neighborhood yesterday, welcoming an almost surprising mix of politicians, music industry execs, athletes and music folks.
T.I. arrived at the exclusive Mansion Hotel in a Maybach with his wife Tiny around 3:00pm an was joined by an entourage that included both his mother and his mother-in-law, as well as T.V. crews filming his new VH1 reality show. Tip seemed to be in an extremely good mood, spending about an hour posing for pics, talking to the press and chatting up his guests before everyone was invite to take their seats.
Before eating, T.I. was presented with a pair of custom Akoo “Beats By Dre” headphones and joked that he was surprised because he’s “not used to getting things.” He kept the light mood throughout his pre-dinner speech, thanking his supporters for doing all that they do to “send our children to college” and blaming some mic trouble on the fact that he “hasn’t been around one of these in a minute.”
