The passing of Hip-Hop legend and beloved icon Heavy D hit the world HARD late yesterday evening. At the tender age of 44 years old, he was far too young to be gone so soon. Last month BET honored Hev at the Hip-Hop awards, and in the midst of all the “new school” rappers, Heavy D commanded respect and admiration. The big man’s influence reached far beyond just the Hip-Hop community however, celebrities in all facets of entertainment loved him and were honored to talk, take pictures, and party him.
Bossip would like to take the time this morning not to shed tears, but to celebrate the life of a man who touched so many and had such a enormous effect on our lives.
