This house is beautiful:

NFL wide receiver, former Dancing With the Stars contestant and avid Architectural Digest reader Hines Ward made quite a bit of money for the Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of a long and storied tenure with the team – and while it’s almost certain he’s played his last game in black and gold after the team handed him his walking papers this offseason, it appears that the NFL veteran has eyes to further line his coffers. Ward recently put his Atlanta, GA “dream home” on the market, listing the mansion property for a cool $7.5 million.

The Atlanta native, who has made no secret of his fondness for architecture and style, contributed in the homebuilding process for the contemporary estate, adding ideas like dark-colored woodwork, a poker room and other resort-like features to the eventual design. “I wanted my house to be like a W Hotel,” Ward would remark in a 2011 interview with Atlanta Magazine. Completed in 2006, the 12,836-square-foot modern manse sits on a lot of more than two acres and offers eight bedrooms (with a master bedroom on each of the home’s two floors) and 11 bathrooms. Luxe amenities include a contemporary kitchen, formal sitting areas, butler’s pantry and theater room, along with elevator access to its two levels, while the rear of the property boasts a resort-styled pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and a grotto equipped with high-def televisions and another spa.
