U.S. Fighter Jet Crashes into Apartment Complex
End Of Days: Navy Fighter Jet Crashes Into Virginia Beach Apartment Complex
A Navy fighter jet crashed into a Virginia Beach apartment building at about noon today, igniting a blaze that damaged five apartment buildings:
The F-18 slammed into a building on Birdneck Road in Virginia Beach, a city south of Washington DC.
The two pilots ejected but their condition is not known. At least one person was injured on the ground.
It is not known whether the jet was carrying weapons at the time of the crash at around noon on Friday.
The rear engines of the F-18 were visible sticking out of the side of the apartment complex as fire crews and police raced to contain the area.
Witnesses said the plane was pouring jet fuel as it went down, with its nose pointed up into the air.
The pictures from this horrific disaster look unreal! Keep the families who lived in the apartment building and Navy pilots in your prayers.
