A desperate six-year-old Giants fan, Joseph Armento, scraped $3.36 and sent it to Jacobs to try and keep him in New York.
Brandon Jacobs spent seven years as the New York Giants running back before jumping coasts and joining the San Francisco 49ers.Jacobs was so moved by the gesture that he and his five-year-old son Brayden met with Armento and his mother Julie for over two hours this week. Jacobs also refunded Armento’s $3.36 … with $1.64 interest.
“He had some interest in there just for being a good kid,” Jacobs said. “He’s worth a lot more than that $5 bill I gave him.”
