Tameka Raymond Sets The Record Straight On Child Custody
Tameka Raymond-Foster got a lot of side-eyes for filing for primary custody just after Usher V’s near-death drowning was confirmed to the press, many were questioning her motives.
In a recent interview with “Good Morning America,” Tameka reveals her side….
“I would like to have my first right of refusal which means that when he is not present, the kids come home to their mom. They don’t stay home with a nanny and watch whatever show he’s on. They come home to their mother.
“I had to see on Instagram that my four-year-old lost his first tooth. That’s my baby. Things that are precious moments, milestone moments, I’m just missing them.”
The interview also revealed that Tameka took a mental evaluation and the results claimed she suffers from a moderately severe mental disorder:
“I’m going to be retested. You would think from hearing that, that sounds like, ‘Wow she must be cutting the kids or beating them excessively, on crack or selling crack.’”
Tameka later spoke on how the media has portrayed her unfairly:
“One thing I will say, I’m an individual, I don’t have a publicist. I don’t have a manager. I don’t have an agent. I just have some regular working class friends and family members. We don’t know how to fight the machine.
“It is hurtful sometimes because it’s so far from the truth. You’re talking about a woman that had her own career and to be reduced to some baby mama that’s bitter and that’s a gold digger is hurtful.”
Tameka clarifies she does not hate ex-hubby Usher:
“Absolutely not. He is the father of my children and I love my kids more than life itself. “
