Kevin Hart Talks From Black Women And His New Girlfriend Dealing With Haters
Leading Hollywood comedian and media mogul in the making Kevin Hart is riding the wave of his success in both his personal and professional life.
BOSSIP recently caught up with Kevin at Ne-Yo’s 2nd Annual “Fostering A Legacy” benefit event over the weekend, and he had a lot to say about angry women judging his relationship, how his new girlfriend Eniko responds to their constant stream of criticism, and more.
Check out a few interview excerpts below.
How his girlfriend Eniko responds to criticism and haters:
“She laughs! I mean, you’re a product of your environment if you’re with a man who tells you what you’re gonna get when you get into [the relationship]. At the end of the day, I’m in the spotlight. So, when she’s with me, she’ll be seen in the spotlight. So people are gonna assume that they know her and they know her life…..and that she’s with me for money. No matter what, that’s what you fall into. As entertainers, you just have to get that. It’s my job to let my girl know not to feed into that; it’s the nature of the business. I respect that. I don’t sh*t on any of it.”
How he responds to public criticism of his relationship:
“Here’s the thing to really think about: Like, when you’re thinking about another person, are they thinking about YOU? [laughs] Ask yourself, when you see some people that look happy…..and they’re smiling…and you’re typing these angry comments…..ask yourself ‘are they [also] thinking about you?’ No, no I’m not.
But, I’m such a grounded guy so, I understand where it comes from and I understand why it happens. The public’s job is to judge.”
Sounds like Kevin and Eniko aren’t the least bit phased by their haters so far.

Craziest rumor he’s heard about himself:
“That I don’t like dark-skinned women (laughs). My daughter’s dark-skinned, my ex-wife is dark-skinned….but I get ONE new girlfriend and it’s “HE HATES SISTAS!!” I wish y’all could see how many times a day I do this (makes crazy face). That’s my face for unwarranted attacks.”
His specific response to women who judge his relationship:
“Here’s the reality. You wanna know the sad reality that I say to angry women? If it wasn’t her, it [still] wouldn’t be YOU! That’s the sad part of the reality. So, these people that get angry about another man’s happiness, ask yourself, ‘if he wasn’t with her, would he be with you?’ The answer still is NO! So either way, you’re putting time and energy into somebody else’s happiness.”
On what’s next for him:
“I got a bunch of stuff coming out. A movie called “Grudge Match” coming out in December. Another move called “Ride Along” in January. February, “Think Like A Man 2.” In the summer I start filming for another movie. Another season of ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood’ is in the works. About to start figuring out my next tour and when I’m gonna do it. I’m just hustling and working….trying to become a mogul.”
We have to admit, it IS pretty crazy of an assumption to suggest that he doesn’t like sun-kissed sistas when he has an adorable dark-skinned daughter and ex-wife.
