Two Men Set Boy On Fire

Poor boy. Who sets an innocent boy on fire over kite string?

According to The NY Daily News

An Indian boy was doused in gasoline and burned alive by two men after an argument over a kite string, police said.

Vidhu Jain, 12, was allegedly set on fire by the pair in the town of Malerkotla days after he’d been involved in a confrontation with them in front of his father’s kite shop.

The Times of India reports that the youngster was taken hostage on Monday as he cycled to his younger brother’s school to deliver his packed lunch.

Soaked with fuel and set on fire, he was seen sprinting down a lane and screaming in terror.

Good Samaritans rushed him to hospital and he was able to give a statement to police. But he died from his horrific injuries soon after.

“My son … left home in the afternoon on a bicycle to deliver a lunch box to his younger brother who studies at another school,” his dad Navneet Jain told the newspaper.

“His shrieks were heard at a secluded place near Nawab Colony. Some passersby said that the child was on fire and they immediately took him to the civil hospital,” he added.

Cops are now hunting the duo, reports the Hindustan Times.

They also want to speak to the family’s servant who is believed to have witnessed the boy’s argument with the pair and has since gone missing.

These two need to be thrown underneath the jail.
