Disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison for corruption that turned city hall into a pay-to-play parlor. He was convicted earlier this year of two-dozen crimes, including bribery and extortion. (Oct. 10)
