Lamar Odom Renting Out $3 Million Miami Mansion

Whether Lamar Odom will earn an NBA paycheck this season remains in question, but the embattled basketball player stands to pull in $17,000 a month if he can find a tenant for his Miami mansion.

Odom acquired the palatial Pinecrest property for $3 million in the summer of 2009, when the then-free-agent forward was being courted heavily by the Miami Heat and bride-to-be Khloe Kardashian was set to launch the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” spin-off, “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.” Odom eventually re-upped with the Los Angeles Lakers on a four-year, $33 million contract, but evidently opted to keep the South Beach home.

The Mediterranean manse, built in 2002, was said to have been updated by Khloe and Lamar and offers approximately 8,600 square feet in living space. The home opens in grandeur fashion to a two-story foyer with frescoed ceilings, marble flooring and sweeping staircases. In terms of amenities, Odom’s rental scores a slam dunk with high-end features such as a movie theater, a billiards room and a wet bar. The master suite, one of six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, has a Jacuzzi tub and private his and hers toilets.

Beyond its finer interior details, the rental retreat sports a resort-like backyard that is prime for entertaining. A massive pool and spa lined in towering palms acts as the hub for the 1.16-acre grounds, which feature a covered patio with a summer kitchen, a lighted basketball-tennis court and plenty of lounge space.

Odom was previously on the opposite end of the rental spectrum in 2012, when he and Kardashian reportedly paid $7,500 a month to lease a high-rise apartment in Dallas owned by Mack Hicks, the son of Texas Rangers owner and area business magnate Tom Hicks. The rental came after the Lakers shipped the NBA’s 2011 Sixth Man of the Year to the Mavericks during the 2012 offseason. Odom returned to Los Angeles the following year after being dealt by the Mavs to the Clippers. The 33-year-old is currently a free agent.
