Civil Rights leader and pioneer Gloria Richardson died at the age of 99. She was the first woman to lead a grassroots Civil Rights Movement outside of the Deep South. Her organizing in Cambridge, MD. paved the way for the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Black Power Movement and Black Lives Matter.
