Essence Magazine is hosting their 2021 Black Women In Hollywood event virtually April 22nd. Leslie Jones hosts the special event, while honorees include Whoopi Goldberg, Andra Day, Michaela Coel, Zendaya Coleman and Cynthia Erivo. Presenters include Leslie Jones, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, Tarana Burke and Kasi Lemmons.
With this new deal, the #MeToo movement founder and her producing partner will develop scripted, unscripted and documentary projects for linear television and streaming platforms.
