What! Are you blind? The outfit does NOT work! I like Kelis. I love that she and Nas are together. But her style choices are pretentious and getting annoying. She can’t think that this looks good. It looks like she said to herself, “I’m supposed to be wild! I have a reputation to uphold..hmmm…I know…I’ll put on my WILD leopard-print, skin-tight top, red jeans and black heels. OH, and to really throw ‘em off and show I’m wild…I’ll put on my PEARLS!”

PUH-LEEZ! Kelis was fiercest on her first album…I loved her look in that “I Hate You So Much Right Now!” video. She was gorgeous, free, hot and most of all…truly WILD (without seeming to try so hard)!

She is fly, I bet her outfit is more stylish that what anyone who has something nasty to say. Haters need to keep going to the mall to shop so you all can keep looking like clones.

I think what makes Kelis unique fashion-wise is that she draws her influences from a variety of places and cultures. What we say is a mess in the US is the ish in Europe and Asia. Nothing wrong with that to me because she does it tastefully.

I would expect more from Kelis. Her fashion savvy distinguished her from the crowd, this outfit is so “regular”. I’m unimpressed. But from her track record, she is allowed some wiggle room. Come back Kelis, come back.

I LOVE Kelis but she’s been a bit underwhelming of late but most people have because stores are selling what celebrities wear and celebrities pay stylists for sensibilities that are otherwise esoteric and individual AND so you’ve got millions of women buying these things that stylists choose for celebrities, things that would have otherwise been unique or different as I said…
