Allegedly, Chris Tucker is on some dead-beat ish:

“Chris Tucker is facing a legal battle with a woman who claims he is the ‘deadbeat father’ of her two-year-old daughter. Gail Webb is demanding child support payments from the 35-year-old comedian, claiming the pair dated for years before he disappeared as soon as they discovered she was pregnant with little Krista Jane.

She says, ‘I just want help with Krista and want her to know her father. If Chris Tucker wants to go to court, I welcome the opportunity to show the world what a big liar – and deadbeat father – he really is.’ But the Rush Hour star maintains he has never even met his accuser.”

Say it isn’t so. Especially with all those stacks, we hope he’s not holding out on his responsibilities. On the other hand, it does sound like that chick is looking for a payday. DNA tests never lie, so we’ll have to wait ‘n’ see on this one.

Alicia is on the mend:

“Alicia Keys announced on Wednesday that swollen vocal cords are causing her to cancel two shows on her recently launch concert tour.

[She] was forced to pull the plug on next Tuesday night’s show in Pittsburgh and her concert in Cleveland next Thursday. According to her record company, tickets for the canceled Cleveland show will be honored at next Saturday’s performance in Columbus, Ohio, where Alicia is expected to make her return to the stage.”

Blade’s IRS scandal is about to come to a head. Wesley’s got his back up against the wall, so he’s asked some celebs to send letters to the judge begging for his mercy:

“Judge Greg Mathis, who says: ‘Unfortunately, it was his honest nature that forced him into these legalities’ and ‘I can say from my personal experience as a Judge that people are always trying to manipulate and defraud people with a high profile status.’

Denzel Washington says that Wes is like ‘a tree — a mighty oak.’”

Umm, we doubt resembling a tree is going to help Wesley out of this mess. Blade faces three years in prison and sentencing is set for tomorrow, time to face the music. SMH.

One of the original members of the R&B group 702 passed away recently:

“Orish Grinstead of the R&B group 702 passed away this Sunday from kidney failure. The singer was the twin-sister of Irish, and one of three members of the Las Vegas-based group who spawned R&B hits such as ‘Steelo’ and ‘Get It Together’ back in the late 90s. She was only 27.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Juanita Bynum will go on “Divorce Court” this week to end her marriage with Bishop Thomas Weeks III who gave her a real good tail whooping back in August:

Televangelist Juanita Bynum says in a two-part episode of “Divorce Court” that she’s through with her marriage to minister Thomas W. Weeks III, who is on probation for assaulting her.

In episodes scheduled to air Thursday and Friday, Bynum also says she had thoughts of suicide and weighs in on a case involving domestic violence. When asked what advice she had for women in situations similar to hers, she said, “I have to make a decision … to take the love that I had for him with me. I was just trying to make it work because I don’t like losing relationships,” Bynum told Judge Lynn Toler, who hears cases on the syndicated show distributed by Twentieth Television. “All of this just kept getting swept under the rug … So you begin to adapt to a very wrong and very unhealthy marriage.” Continue »

That’s so Raven star Orlando Brown has been missing since Tuesday:

“The 20-year-old reportedly left his manager’s house around 10:20 a.m. to make a quick trip to 7-Eleven and has not been seen since. According to Brown’s publicist, Elayne Rivers, he had a full day of meetings and appointments in preparation for a photo shoot Wednesday.

Rivers adds that friends and family are very concerned, as the young actor is not one to be out of touch for long, and the convenience store was within a short walking distance from his manager’s home in Studio City.

UPDATE: Brown is okay:

In a statement, Brown, 20, thanked fans for their support and apologized for not informing anyone of his whereabouts for over 24 hours.

Brown, who is a musician as well as an actor, said he dropped out of sight after a problem last week involving a scheduled performance at Club Tattoo in Los Angeles. After he incident, the statement said, he “felt a little lost and needed to get away. It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to be alone,” he said.

Foxy’s lawyer bailed on her:

“Foxy Brown, released from jail last Friday (April 18), appeared in a Florida courtroom this morning for a status hearing on her pending assault case in the state. [Sources say] her attorney Fred Haddad officially withdrew from the case because of “irreconcilable differences” with his client. While it is unclear what exactly caused Haddad to leave the case, local news channel CBS 4 reports that she may have tried to broker a deal with prosecutors without the lawyer’s knowledge. Broward County Judge Joel Lazarus gave Foxy until May 8 to inform the court of her new attorney’s name.”

We’re getting a little de ja vu. This heffah is nothing but trouble. We predict her next stint on lock down will be much longer than the last one. Scandalous.
