Toni Braxton Sues Ex Husband Keri Lewis For Child Support

Songbird Toni Braxton is fed up with her ex-husband, Keri Lewis’ refusal to pay child support, and is now turning the issue over to courts.

The six-time Grammy Award-winner filed legal documents on October 31, within the Georgia court system in an effort to receive back child support from Keri.

The exes, who share two children Denim Cole Braxton-Lewis and Diezel Ky Braxton-Lewis, were married in 1998 and separated in 2009 after 12 years of marriage, with the divorce being finalized in 2013.

According to TheJasmineBrand.com, the lawsuit is requesting that Keri pay the $2,000 a month he was originally ordered to pay for the support of their children along with the back child support he’s neglected throughout the agreement.

Many may find it odd that Toni is choosing to sue Keri, being that they seem quite happy on the hit reality show “Braxton Family Values.”

In an interview earlier this year with Bethany Frankel on “Bethany,” Toni made it clear that she and Keri have a great relationship and claimed to have had a very “white divorce,” meaning she and he were on good terms with each other.

Hopefully the matter can and will be solved amicably, which will leave both parties involved satisfied.
