Bow Wow Says Empire Is Full Of Stereotypes Of Black People

Rapper and perpetual hater Bow Wow recently signed onto star in CBS’s hit “CSI” spin-off, ‘CSI: Cyber.’

The rapper now admits that FOX’s “Empire” is a blockbuster series but reveals that he would have turned down the role because it’s filled with stereotypes about Black people. Shad tells Global 14

“When we were still filming Cyber episodes, Empire‘s first episode premiered. Fans were saying, ‘Man, you should have been on the show.’ But we all don’t rap or play basketball. We can do so many things. There are young African-Americans who are intelligent enough to work at the FBI. That’s what’s so bright. Hopefully, I can help start a new wave of young black actors who don’t want to stereotype themselves.“

Bow says he has new music coming out his “fans” should expect more from him in the next few weeks:

Now that we’re on hiatus from shooting Cyber, I’m focusing on music. Bow Wow 2015 is revived, mature, happy, partying, dope and fresh. I’ve been in the studio with Snoop, Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Migos and Musiq Soulchild. I’ve also wrapped a first single so fans can get ready for some new music in the next couple of weeks.

While the former 106 & Park host was busy hating, the FOX show topped the ratings charts. According to TV By The Numbers:

On FOX, the two-hour season finale of Empire earned a gigantic series high 6.4, up 10 percent from last week’s series high 5.8 adults 18-49 rating. Your predictions were a bit too pessimistic. The first hour notched a 6.0 while the second hour, which Nielsen will count as the part of the series overall average rating, rose to a 6.8. It was the highest rated night for a broadcast network airing regular entertainment programming since the January 18, 2012 season premiere of American Idol, which garnered a 7.4 adults 18-49 rating. Empire has now surpassed The Big Bang Theory to become the highest rated scripted broadcast program of the 2014-15 television season.

Bow Wow could have played a mean Hakeem Lyon, or nah?
