A 56-year-old man was arrested Saturday night in North Portland on suspicion of stabbing in the neck a man who had accused him of stealing potato chips from a child’s plate, police said.
North Precinct officers arrived about 9 p.m. to the 9300 block of North Fiske Avenue and found 30-year-old Robert Alexander stabbed. He was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Officers investigated then arrested 56-year-old Clarence Dorn Jr., an acquaintance of the victim found a short time later in McCoy Park.
He was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a second-degree assault charge.
Worst part of it is, this guy probably DID steal the chips for the kid.
