Beyoncé Looking To Take Back Destiny’s Child From Mathew Knowles

Word on the curb is that Bey still has beef with her dad, this particular problem has to do with his legal claims over Destiny’s Child, which she is hoping to wrestle back in court!

According to In Touch Weekly reports:

In Touch magazine has exclusively learned that Beyoncé plans to take her father, Mathew Knowles, to court over ownership of the Destiny’s Child brand.

The 34-year-old singer fired Mathew as her manager over four years ago, but he still owns the rights to their name and music — and she wants them back.

“She’s ready to take action,” a source tells In Touch. “Beyoncé is going to sue her own father. She’ll take him to court to show that she deserves the rights to her own band.”

“She feels he basically stole the group and the [trademark] on Destiny’s Child,” the source explains of the band, which was originally called Girl’s Tyme — until Mathew took over as their manager and renamed them.

Mathew, 63, is believed to own at least 25 percent of the Destiny’s Child brand, although the source tells In Touch it’s closer to 100 percent because he set up certain contract terms that favor his own stake in Kelly, 34, Michelle, 35, and Beyoncé’s careers.

“Mathew wants a Destiny’s Child reunion so he can see another payday,” says the source. “Up until this point, they have let him get away with it, but they want to perform Destiny’s Child music and make their fans happy — without Mathew making a profit.

“Beyoncé never wanted to sue him, but he’s given her no choice. He won’t allow them to use their own name — unless he gets paid.”

Mathew’s bracing himself for a massive lawsuit,” says the source. “Expect 2016 to be the year that Beyoncé takes control of her own destiny and watches the man who took advantage of her go down in flames.”

We read the Beyoncé tell all and according to that book — Mathew is a BEAST when it comes to wrestling control over contracts! This story definitely seems like it could be true, but it sounds like Mathew’s worst nightmare. He’s basically retirement age now but broke thanks to all them outside kids and his only real hope for making money is Destiny’s Child retirement projects.
