BET Awards Reveals Lineup For Prince Tribute And Reveals Anthony Anderson And Tracee Ellis Ross Will Host
The 16th annual BET Awards Show will be hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross for the 2nd year in a row. Anthony and Tracee are also nominated for “Best Actor” and “Best Actress” at the 16th annual event.
“Tracee and I are thrilled that BET brought us back to host the “BET Awards” for the second year in a row,” said Anthony Anderson. “We had a great time last year and can’t wait for viewers to see the new surprises we have in store on June 26th!”
“I can’t wait to host the BET Awards again with Anthony, who I always have a blast working with,” said Tracee Ellis Ross. “The BET Awards is going to knock it out of the park again with a night full of amazing performances and presenters being honored in music, movies, television, and sports.”
The show will include performances by Alicia Keys and Maxwell, and a special celebration paying homage to Prince, with Sheila E., D’Angelo, The Roots, Janelle Monae and more performing.
The celebrities dominating the award show are Drake with nine nominations including ‘Best Male Hip Hop Artist’ and ‘Video of the Year’, Beyonce and Rihanna with five nominations, and Bryson Tiller, Future, and Chris Brown with four.
The award show will be aired on Sunday, June 26th at 8 pm ET from Los Angeles, California.
