There’s nothing like growing up black, living your life as a black person then reaching a point when people feel like it’s okay to suddenly decide you’re not black anymore. It’s a crazy experience. These celebrities had to deal with the doubts and people telling them they weren’t really black. Not cool.

Steph Curry – Kevin Durant infamously recalled the time he thought he was playing against a “white kid” when he first met Steph Curry.
Barack Obama – His grandfather is white and he was raised by white people so some have questioned if he even counts as black. Sigh.
Tiger Woods – He’s called himself Cabacablasian or whatever, causing discussion about his blackness.

Kris Humphries – When people talk about Kim K’s black exes they don’t mention Kris even though his dad is black.
Mariah Carey – Her blackness was definitely a topic in the 90s and people were questioning it heavy.
