Judge To Appoint New Administrator For Pimp C’s Estate After Son Accused Stepmom Of Mishandling It
Pimp C’s widow said she’s relieved a judge has stripped her of her position as the administrator of her late husband’s estate after her stepson accused her of mismanaging it.
A Texas judge Wednesday removed Chinara Butler from running the UGK member’s affairs after his oldest son, Chad Butler Jr. alleged that his stepmother had been “grossly negligent” in handling the estate. Butler Jr. said she’d misplaced assets, like $150,000 in jewelry, and never distributed Pimp C’s things to his heirs, effectively disinheriting them. The judge will now appoint a new person later this week to manage Pimp C’s estate.
But Butler said the news was welcome, because she can now devote herself fully to preserving the memory of her late husband – who died in 2007 – after years of shouldering the responsibility of running the estate by herself.
“Mrs. Butler is actually okay with the judge’s decision,” her rep told us exclusively. “For far too long, she alone has bore all of the responsibility and liability regarding the business of the estate.”
Butler’s spokeswoman said the widow showed the judge proof that she plowed money into Pimp C’s estate to keep his brand going, and to settle allegations against her that she said were lies.
“As her attorney has proved, when Mrs. Butler took on this role the estate was deep in debt,” the rep said. “This business restructuring is just what the estate needs, and frees Mrs. Butler to focus solely on preserving her husband’s legacy.”
Meanwhile, Butler’s estranged stepson Chad Jr. – who declined to comment – just released a song “Trust Nobody,” where he addresses his feelings on the family’s legal battle.
“The same ones saying they hope that you shine, the same ones out here tryin’ to knock your grind,” he raps. “Same n****s that say they’ll cut for ya be the same hoes saying f**k Chad Butler – that’s why I can’t trust nobody.”
