NBA Sideline Reporter Craig Sager Loses Battle With Leukemia At Age 65
It’s with a sad heart that we report the NBA sideline reporting legend Craig Sager has lost his battle with leukemia, he passed away to today at age 65.
For his entire career, Sager’s suits were oft-talked about and sometimes mocked in good fun. More recently, when Sager’s was mentioned it was for his strength and resiliency, not his fashion faux pas.
Sadly, most sports fans and professionals knew that Sager’s health was not holding up well, but everyone knew he would fight like hell until the end, and that’s exactly what he did.
Last year, Sager received an ESPY “Jimmy V Award for Perseverance” from Vice President Joe Biden where he spoke, like so many others, like Stuart Scott, about his battle against cancer.
As you can imagine the tribute tweets are rolling in by the dozens from his NBA family, athletes in other leagues, coaches and his fellow media members.
Flip the page to see the outpouring of love he is receiving posthumously.
