Carmelo Anthony Cut Charity Ties With Wife La La A Year Before Split

According to PageSix reports, Carmelo and La La have been estranged since last summer. Already in the the financial sense. They’re reporting that Carmelo cut La La out of a charity he registered last summer. The Knicks star incorporated the Carmelo Anthony Foundation Inc. in July along with two business associates. The friends came on board as directors rather than estranged wife La La Anthony.

La La had been a board member of the charity in years previous – since 2009. It seems like Carmelo knew the marriage was a wrap, based on the decision to bench his wife from her role at his organization. Following her exclusion from his charity documents, La La did not participate with her husband at the foundation’s “Very Melo Christmas” movie event for kids in December.

Many people were shocked last week when news of La La And Carmelo splitting after almost a decade. But, it looks like they’ve been handling it quietly for a minute. They’ve even worked out their co-parenting schedules.

Kudos, to amicable splits, at least.
