Bronx Juvenile Detention Center Under Fire For Sexual Assault

A new lawsuit is alleging that female guards at a New York juvenile detention center were getting young men at the facility sauced up and sexually assaulting them.

The Daily News is reporting one guard, Natalie Medford, told an alleged victim that if he “took care of her needs,” he could use her cellphone, watch special movies, get extra food and face no punishment, according to the suit, filed by lawyer Vik Pawar. The victim is now 18, and alleges that the sexually assaults took place during his 2013-20124 stay at the center called “Horizon”. Horizon houses inmates for the city’s Administration for Children’s Services.

“I didn’t have a choice,” the victim said. “She was doing everything to make me feel I was doing the right thing. After a while, I started growing up.”So far, there hasn’t been an statements from the accused, a spokeswoman for the city’s Law Department said the suit will be reviewed. SMH.
