Dominican Teenager Allegedly Killed By Her Boyfriend
The body of a 16-year-old in the Dominican Republic, Emely Peguero, was found stuffed in a suitcase in the city of La Guama. Peguero was said to be 5 months pregnant, and after she went to a doctors appointment with her boyfriend, she never returned home.
It is said that her boyfriend, Marlon Martinez, was not happy with her pregnancy and didn’t want her to have a baby, her boyfriend’s mother felt the same way. That’s where things get crazy…abortions are illegal in the Dominican Republic, so Martinez decided to perform his own botched abortion. Because of this, Peguero allegedly bled to death, and in addition, it seems that he hit her and fractured her skull.
Her boyfriend allegedly already confessed to the murder, and it is said that his mother assisted him in getting rid of the body. Emely’s family isn’t sure they’ll get justice since Marlon’s mother works for the government. So sad.
