When news broke that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx went public with their relationship, we were far from surprised—we yawned, actually. After we reported on the not so secret coupledom of Tom Cruise’s ex-wife and his (ex) friend for yeaaars, pictures finally surfaced of them holding hands on the beach.
Mind you this all comes amid reports that Katie had to keep her their relationship secret because of a clause in her divorce contract that BANNED her from publicly dating for five years. Katie and Tom divorced in 2012.

“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” a source reportedly told Radar Online.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” the insider added. “Katie wanted out of the marriage so badly, she agreed to the terms — and got $4.8 million in child support, plus another $5 million for herself.”
And while some folks were confused to see the unlikely couple sweetly swirled up, others applauded Katie for ditching her creepy couch jumping ex for her funnyman bae.
