Lil Yachty Hate Tweets Women Who Rap?
But whyyy, though?
Rapper Lil Yachty may have been attempting to either be funny or ruffle feathers with a tweet, and almost got dragged by his Hurricane Chris braids. Either way, he’s problematic. The insanely popular with the youth rapper tweeted “Lmfaoooo every b*tch wanna be a rapper.”
Folks are unsure if this was a subtweet or just a general disgusting misogynistic message he was trying to get out there but here it is:
In a climate where men are getting outed for sexually assaulting women in entertainment, where women are still breaking down walls in hip hop to chart their records, this incidentally “successful” dry-heaving on beat rapper chooses to discourage women progressing in music. Go figure.
Another fun fact: Yachty is now best friends with an accused rapist, stylist Ian Connor. Dozens of young women have previously come forward saying Ian uses his internet popularity and famous associations to lure them in person, only to force himself onto them. Do you think Yachty’s rhetoric and choice of friend is a coincidence?
Furthermore, folks in Yachty’s comments were outraged by his audacity. Hit the flip to see the reactions.
