K-Pop Star Jonghyun Of SHINee Found Dead
In news from the far east, K-pop boy bander Jonghyun was found unconscious in an Chungdam-Dong, Seoul, Korea apartment according to BBC and Comicbook.
Jonghyun was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead He was only 28 years old.
Although nothing has been determined definitively, police will be investigating whether or not this was a suicide.
Jonghyun’s sister feared for his brother’s life after reportedly receiving a string of disturbing texts from him, including one that read “this is my final farewell.”
To put this into perspective, SHINee was a group that has been selling out 55,000 seat venues like the Tokyo Dome since 2008. To many k-pop fans, this is probably akin to their Justin Timberlake being found dead. Crazy.
