Governor’s Ball Releases This Year’s Festival Lineup

Just following the release of Coachella’s lineup release on Tuesday afternoon, Governor’s Ball has unveiled its lineup for 2018, where Eminem is set to headline–just the same as the aforementioned festival. The three-day event is set to take place from June 1-3 at Randall’s Island Park in New York City, and it looks like it’s gearing up to be a jam-packed weekend.

Beside Em’s headlining spot, other acts include Travis Scott, N.E.R.D., Khalid, Goldlink, Lil Uzi Vert, Damian Marley, 2 Chainz, 6lack, DRAM, Vic Mensa, Jay Electronica, and more. Even though the festival takes place in a time where New York should be gearing up for some hot summer months, Gov Ball has a history of rain/storms that cause them to cancel sets and/or entire days of the festival. Kanye was supposed to headline in 2016, but all of Sunday’s festival got cancelled following some “severe weather”–so hopefully 2018 doesn’t see any of those problems.

Once one festival lineup comes, its inevitable that the rest of the competition will start rolling in for fans to start picking apart. It seems like Eminem will probably be headlining at least a few other festivals as well, but fans can keep an eye out on the smaller names to see some of their favorite performers around the US this year.
