Ivanka Trump’s Disingenuous Black History Month Tweet

Nope. Naw. HELL nah.

February is Black History Month. February is also the time of year when undercover racists have to put on a public performance to bolster their reputation as melanin lovers.

Enter first daughter Ivanka Trump. The semi-incestuous apple of Donnie’s eye took to Twitter yesterday, at 5:45 pm, to rhapsodically whitesplain the meaning of Black History Month…

Let’s unpack this a bit, shall we?

Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. were not fighting for the freedom of “all Americans”, you can’t “all lives matter” BLACK history month. Those three heroes were fighting for the disenfranchised…Black and brown people. Words mean things. Don’t be ambiguous where specificity is the subject.

Now, let’s talk about these “sojourners for freedom” that Ivanka mentioned. We’re pretty sure Ivanka has NO idea what “sojourner” means. On the off chance that she reads this post, here it is as defined by Merriam-Webster:

As a noun

:a temporary stay, a sojourn in the country

As a verb

:to stay as a temporary resident : stop, sojourned for a month at a resort

So, Harriet Tubman, Rosa Park and Martin Luther King, Jr. were “temporary stays for freedom”?

Just say “I don’t give a s#!t about Black History Month” and go about your day, ma’am. SMH.

The slander on Twitter is as sweet as ya diabetic grandmama’s tea. Flip it over to have a laugh.

See, we ain’t the only ones who noticed…
