Leslie Jones Says Sephora Sent Her MUA Into Tears

SMH. Sephora can’t get right for NADA. Just ONE day before some 400 stores scheduled a closing for company wide sensitivity training after SZA was profiled at a Calabasas location of the store, actress/comedienne Leslie Jones called out the beauty retailer for sending her personal make up artist into tears during the visit.

Leslie posted about the incident on Twitter saying,

“I sent my makeup artist @LolasBeautyMark and my best friends wife to @Sephora 2103 Broadway store. she needed makeup and to learn how to apply. my makeup artist just called in tears of how bad they treated her and my friends wife!! The salesperson and manager. SO NO MORE SEPHORA”

Sephora responded to the message about two hours after she made the comments on social media:

The brand responded, “we’re very sorry to hear this. We have reached out via Instagram and hope to connect with you and your friends directly.”

Leslie also posted the message on her Instagram.

Some 16,000 employees are expected to receive training today, June 5th, 2019 — but is it too little too late for the store — especially when it comes to Leslie, SZA and others who’ve already had negative experiences?

What do you think the brand should do to show they’re truly making a good faith effort to make things right with their customers of all colors, genders and ages?
