Twitter Vs. Lizzo (AGAIN)
2019 refuses to stop 2019’ing and continued its stressful shenanigans with this year’s somewhat enjoyable Soul Train Awards where flute-twerking Kidz Bop kween Lizzo (who we actually love) won Best Album/Mixtape over shea buttery songbird Ari Lennox (who was 0/3 that night) despite not really being a “Soul” artist, at all.
Yeaaaa, it was quite the WTF-worthy moment, especially for a show designed to celebrate the essence (and excellence) of Soul music, and pushed Ari to respond never-endingly on Twitter while stirring up hilarious (and mostly outrageous) outrage across the whole entire internet.
