Additionally, Jada, Willow and Gammy were joined at the Red Table by respected peacemaker and activist Erica Ford to discuss the many ways she combats gun violence, including riding around the streets of New York City in her Peace Bus.

Activist Erica Ford on gun violence

“How did you come up with this idea of the Peace Bus?” Gammy asked

“We want to pull up with peace,” Erica answered. “We want peace to flood the streets in a way that becomes a constant in your mind. So you see it, you live it, you believe it. Sublimily, it becomes part of you. You can’t overlook that big orange bus. Actually I was Googling tour buses and saw Will’s tour bus and was like, ‘That’s the bus I want.’”

“We gotta get you one of those!” – Jada said.

Erica also addressed how she’s focused on helping women heal following the deaths of their partners:

“First the trauma of losing your soulmate, right, and then having to raise your children. I see women stop living. I see them losing their lives from a broken heart. We teach them how to move past that pain. If you help the mother heal, you help save the family. You help change the family. You help change generations. You help change the world.” – Erica Ford

Jada, Gammy and Willow are really out here doing some incredible work. You can watch the episode below or on Facebook Watch.
