This is SAD and bizarre:
Police are investigating whether a 16-year-old North Carolina boy, whose mutilated body was found on the streets of a Boston suburb, may have fallen from the wheel-well of a plane preparing to land at Logan International Airport.
The body of Delvonte Tisdale, of Charlotte, N.C., was found Nov. 15 on the lawn of a home in Milton, Mass. His arms and legs were broken and remains of the body were found in two places, the Herald reports.
Tisdale’s father told reporters Tuesday that he was stunned when he learned that his son was dead and had no idea why the teenager was in Massachusetts.
“I still can’t believe our son isn’t with us,” said Anthony Tisdale, 38. “My son was a hard-working young man. He didn’t frequent the streets … he loved ROTC … and video games.”
The Herald says Logan airport officials have been asked to determine if Tisdale might have been a stowaway. An airport spokesman says there is a “remote possibility” that Tisdale fell from a plane.
The Herald says planes flying into Logan from the south lower their wheels over Milton and that a plane from North Carolina flew that route the night before Tisdale’s body was found.
The Boston Globe reports that some of Tisdale relatives said last week that the boy had had a contentious relationship with his father and had run away several times before.
What in the world??? R.I.P. Delvonte.
