According to the National Association of Shoplifting Prevention retailers lose $13 billion annually due to people utilizing the “five finger discount” .
Even though many African-Americans get profiled for shopping while Black, the truth is all people steal — even well to do white women. Research indicates that there is no profile for the “average shoplifter”… but we have one.
Here’s a list of famous Beckys busted for “allegedly” borrowing items without asking.
Lindsay Lohan. Guess Lindsay can’t keep her nose clean. The former teen star is accused of taking a $2500 necklace from a retailer in Venice.
Winona Ryder. The big name actress will always be remembered for getting sacked by security at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.
Caroline Giuliani. The former first daughter of New York City couldn’t keep her hands off the goods at cosmetics haven, Sephora.
Megan Fox. The foxy mama apparently thought she went into stealth mode when she attempted to steal lip-gloss from a Wal-Mart. She got busted and banned.
Kristin Cavallari. The reality star was caught stealing items from a local store with a few of her friends.
Ke$ha. The singer knows the value of a dollar. She’s accused of hitting up discount stores back in the day.
