Joakim Noah only fined half the amount Kobe Bryant was for using gay slur

How the hell is the NBA going to explain THIS?!?!
According to TMZ reports:
The NBA has fined Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah $50,000 for targeting a fan with a homophobic slur during last night’s playoff game against the Miami Heat.
The fine is exactly HALF the amount the league fined Kobe Bryant when he hurled the same word at a referee during a game earlier in the season.
Maybe we’re crazy but it definitely seems as if there is some kind of double standard here. Now we’re not too fond of Kobe Bryant, but it appeared that he made the comment to himself in frustration. On the other hand, Noah seemed to scream the same phrase to a fan behind him and only gets half the punishment?
