Reebok Sports Club/NY, the West Side workout home of a number of celebs, discovered bedbugs last Thursday inside a single locker in the men’s executive locker room at the Columbus Ave. club.
As recent as yesterday a sign was posted on the club’s door, according to a Daily News source.
“The member whose locker was affected was immediately notified,” the club said in a statement. “Their locker and belongings were fully sterilized under the supervision of professionals.”
The surrounding lockers, which were vacant at the time, were also cleaned as a precautionary measure.
“At this time, we have been told by professionals that the club no longer has evidence of the bedbugs,” the statement said.
And don’t think Chris and Taye are the only folks who have to worry about this issue. A number of other prominent buildings including the flagship Niketown store, the Empire State Building, the Time Warner Center and the Brooklyn district attorney’s office have all reported the same problem.
