If you’re already familiar with model Sheneka Adams it’s likely because you’ve seen her bangin’ frame inside the pages of your favorite men’s magazine… Or it may be because you’ve peeped that infamous video that set the web on fire or you may have heard a thing or two about her and a certain rapper or athlete.

BOSSIP decided to go directly to the source and ask Sheneka how things went “South” and how she’s building back up after folks tried breaking her down. Check out what she had to say on the next page.

Bossip: We would love for you to tell us about yourself first, before we start asking questions. Like how old are you and what made you want to get into modeling?

Sheneka Adams: Ok, well I’m from Athens, GA. It’s a small town about an hour from Atlanta. I came to Atlanta. I graduated from highschool in 2008. I’ve always known that I’ve always wanted to be a model, like ever since I was a little. It was just something, I wanted to do. Like I’m an attention slore, I love being in front of the camera, I love the spot light, I love being around people so that’s just the jist of it. But originally I wanted to go to school to be a forensic scientist, but I decided to take the modeling route first to see how it would go and it worked out in my favor. And I’m 21 and just an all around down to earth girl. Like I like to have fun, When I’m out partying, I’m GiGi and when I’m at home I’m Shaneka. And by the way, Gigi is my alter ego.

Q: Wow! You have an alter ego?

SA: Yeah GiGi is like how Beyonce has Sasha Fierce, Gigi is my Sasha Fierce. Like that’s who I turn into when I have to work and when I have to control myself and when I have to be fierce. So I gave her a name, because she’s totally different from Sheneka Adams.

Q: How is she different from Sheneka, is she just more extroverted, and fearless, or s**ier?

SA: She’s more s**y. She’s outgoing, daredevil, wild, crazy, fun person. Definitely not quiet, at all. But she’s the person that, when I feel nervous about something, I’ll just take a breath and be like “Alright, I’ma be Gigi.” And I just become her.

Q: Interesting. Very Interesting. So I understand you were named KING Magazine’s, was it Webgirl of the Year?

SA: Yes, King magazine’s Webgirl of the Year.

Q: How did you find out that you got that, is it something you had to enter for, or was it just their decision about who was the best of all the girls who had been their webgirls last year?

SA: No, actually it was me and two other girls, I’m not sure if they’ve ever done it this way before, but usually they just pick one girl that’s I guess been the most popular girl of the year on the web or whatever. But this year I guess they did it a little different and they picked 3 girls, I was one and there were two other girls and we put up all these pictures on the internet and let the fans vote. You know the fans voted, and whoever got the most votes won. And I got the most votes! So I won, and I’m gonna be on the cover of the magazine later on this year.

Q: Oh wow congratulations! That’s a good look. Well we want to get right to the point. We know recently you’ve made a lot of headlines about this, is it an adult video? Do you know what happened? Were you hacked? Because some people thought you put it out yourself.

SA: Yeah, a lot of people thought that. Obviously that’s not true. Actually the video is about three years old; I made the video when I was 18 years old. I made it with this guy that I was dating at the time. Me and him started talking and kinda arguing about that and I mean I don’t know, I didn’t know that he had put it out there and what not, but I guess he got mad and that’s it. But nobody even knew about it because of it wasn’t on any mainstream site, and I wasn’t as popular as I am today. Well, [popular website] decided to put it on their site, and then the whole world knew about it… and a lot of people were like oh yeah I’m a freak. If I wanted to pull out a video of myself, it wouldn’t have been that one. You know it was just something personal. But it’s cool I’m not mad or anything. I made the video and I gave it to him. I should’ve known what kind of person he was, but I didn’t. So it’s a lesson learned, everybody makes mistakes and you kinda go from it.

Find out how Sheneka’s family reacted on the next page…

Q: Right. Well I mean you seem like you’ve come to terms with it. But when it initially happened, were you very upset? Did you call, did you reach out to the person you knew had leaked it? Like what was your initial reaction?

SA: Honestly, when I first saw it, I mean I had already been seen it. It wasn’t like it was a surprise for me, it was just a shock for a lot of other people. I knew about it before it hit [popular website]. But I was only mad because for one, I wasn’t shaven in the video. And it caught on a situation where, it’s kinda hard to explain it, but the only reason I wasn’t shaven is because he was into that type of stuff. And like I said, it wasn’t meant to be out there, because if it was I would’ve, you know, groomed myself a little better. It wasn’t meant to be put out there. But the only reason I kinda got really upset is … my brother got suspended from school for fighting over it. And I have a sister that is 17. I talked to them, and I explained to them what happened. Just to be careful about if they trust people. You know I make some mistakes, and in the future obviously you don’t know who you’re gonna be in ten years and some things can come back and hurt you. So you just got to be careful, you know. So I just had that talk with them, but everything is cool now. Everything’s fine.

Q: What about your parents? Did your parents know and were they disappointed?

SA: Nah not all, my mom is a cool, laid back chill person. The first thing she said was “This ain’t nothing I never seen and I had you” and we started laughing. And my father was just like “whatever” but they knew about it before it happened so it wasn’t like a shock to them. It was something they had already knew about, because I already discussed it with them when it first happened. But they’re real supportive of me, you know whatever I choose to do with my life, they’re going to support me. No matter what path I choose. That’s all I need. If I have the support of my family and my friends then I’m good.

Q: Wasn’t there another tape also, like an earlier tape as well?

SA: Yeah. It was. I wouldn’t call it a s** tape, I wouldn’t call neither of them a s** tape. But the other one that happened was off of this guy that I was dating, I know a lot of people were spreading rumors that we weren’t dating but that’s not true at all, we were dating. I didn’t know that he was recording the video at all, I had no knowledge of it whatsoever. I didn’t even know about it until he basically put it on the internet to make me try and make me look bad. But at the time, you know it didn’t really matter, because I wasn’t as popular as I am now. And a lot of people didn’t know about it. But obviously now, with the second video happened, a lot of people know my name.

Q: So is that it? Do you worry about any other photos coming out? Do you have any kind of fears of stuff coming from your past getting in your way at this point?

SA: No. Honestly at this point, I don’t. It was my decision, Yeah, I have sent pictures out to guys I dated, as far as videos? I didn’t really send the videos out. Yeah, I’ve sent pictures to guys but notice how the last video, I didn’t really show my face. But I’m not really worried about it. Everybody isn’t the type of person to be like, okay just because I don’t talk to you anymore, I’m going to delete your pictures. I’m not worried about it. I hope no else does it. At this point it would be like you’re late, people have already done that video. But then again you never know. And if they do, I’m kind of prepared for it. So we’ll just see what happens I guess.

Q: You seem pretty strong.

A: Yeah, I have a strong support system. Like my mother and father. And all the friends that really support me and stick with me and give great advice and I just take that advice day to day. Like I said, a lot of things you do in your past… Let me take that back. At that moment, I wasn’t thinking like 5 years from now, I’m going to be in the public eye somewhat. I was just thinking I’m going to make this video for this guy. You know? I didn’t know any of this would happen. I wouldn’t make any more pictures or send videos to guys. Not that I don’t trust anybody but because everybody isn’t like that but I’ll probably just stay away from things like that. Because things like that can hurt your future and things you may have going on. And I just don’t need that to happen anymore.

Q: Well I’m glad you brought up your future, because I want to know what are your future goals? This year and beyond?

SA: Well right now I’m doing the modeling thing but I’m really focusing on making myself into a brand.

Q: Are you trying to branch off into clothing or into TV? What different avenues are you interested in taking?

SA: Yes. I want to be a household name because realistically you can’t be a model forever. There’s always fresher faces and younger girls. You have to think after I’ve done all the magazine and videos, and this is how I make my money, now I have to think about how I can transition all the popularity I’ve gained from this into more money. I’m focused on writing a book and I’m starting a line of hair care products. I’ll be selling t-shirts and laptop covers, I’m just trying to do it all.

Q: Are the t-shirts going to have your image?

SA: No. Mostly sayings and slogans but not images.

Q: What are the slogans going to say? Do you have a mantra?

SA: Something that I say often, it’s not offensive or anything, like say if a girl is in the club with her shoes off, I say “You need to have a seat, seriously” or something like that. A lot of people like it so I thought, why not put it on a shirt?

Q: Is the book a memoir or fiction? Or a tell all?

SA: I know a lot of people have said it’s going to be a tell all but I don’t even believe in putting people’s business out there like that. It’s going to be about my life and the things I’ve been through with the industry and my personal life. I just want to give tips to a lot of girls about how to get started, if I can help someone else out then by all means I’ll do it. So I thought, why not write a book and tell my story to help others.

Q: We know you said you don’t want to put people on blast but we did want to ask about some of the people you have been linked to. We know in the first tape some people did say it was Soulja Boy. Did you have a relationship with him?

SA: We were just friends. Nothing serious. We were just friends. That’s all.

Q: But did you have a sexual relationship with him?

SA: I’d rather not speak on it.

Q: You have also been linked to Carmelo Anthony, did you have a relationship with him?

SA: I’d rather not speak on that either.

Q: What about Jacob York?

SA: We are just friends. Nothing crazy, he helps me out. He gives me a lot of advice but I’m not dating him.

Q: As far as the modeling, I know one of the questions people like to ask is if your butt or breasts are real. Have you had plastic surgery? Implants or shots?

SA: I am 100% natural, no shade to the girls who have had breast or butt implants but I am natural. My a*s is real, my t*ts are real. I just work out you know. I don’t really believe in that stuff. I just believe in keeping it natural.

Q: You were on a promo tour with Cedric The Entertainer this year?

SA: Yeah I have two dates this year, coming up in New York… Sometime in July I’m hosting a party with him on two different nights. I think he’s on a comedy tour, so I’ll be hosting a couple parties with him.

Q: Are you a funny girl yourself? Do you think you could hold your own with him?

SA: Yeah I’m a comedic girl, I don’t know if you follow my twitter page but I tend to joke a lot. So yeah I think I can hold my own with him.

Q: Now are you currently single?

SA: Yep. I’m living the single life. I’m just trying to enjoy life.

Q: Is there anything else you want to share with people?

SA: Ummm I know people think I may be stuck up and that’s not true. I’m not trying to say I’m better than anybody else. Sometimes when you want to separate yourself from those negative things, people think you’re trying to be better than them ,but its not about that. I’m just a down to earth person. If you get to know me or ask a lot of my friends they will tell you that.

Q: In the modeling industry there’s always a lot of talk that the women who get the most attention are fair complexioned. Being a brown skinned girl, do you think its been more difficult for you?

SA: I think that whole dark-skinned/light-skinned stuff is crazy. I don’t believe in just because a girl is light-skinned that she should get the lead in the videos. You put forth hard work in what you want all your life, then you’re gonna get it. That’s just how I feel about it.
