For most young people, the biggest incentive in living and working overseas is money.
It usually works out well: you only pay taxes on up to a certain amount of your income. And you’re either getting paid in a foreign currency that’s worth more than the dollar, meaning your take home pay is way more), or you’re in a country where the dollar is worth more, which means you’re spending less money.
In these 10 cities, that may not be the case… unless your actual salary is super official.
After examining 400 cities and regions across the world, and measuring common things foreign workers buy in U.S. dollars terms, ie food, clothing and rent, a recent survey named the most expensive cities in which to live in 2011.
